Welcome!

Welcome to the development blog of Brick Inventions!

My name is Bernhard and I am the developer of the game. I started this project about two months ago but didn't have much time in the beginning and so there wasn't much progress. In the last weeks I got more time to work on the game an finally it was in a state where I thought that I could show it to other people.

(Watch the video with subtitles for description.)

Like shown in the video, the game is about building and also strategy. You have a number of different blocks and you can build things with them. The challenge: Every block has physics. That means you have to build everything stable enough that it doesn't break down due to gravity.

The multi-player mode is a main part of the game. Currently there are only maps where 2 players can play against each other. The principle of the game is quite simple: Shoot down the enemy's crown and defend your own. To achieve this you can build cannons, walls,...

The crown is on a block and if it falls down from it, the player has lost. Around the crown there are other blocks which are the producers. They produce resources that you can see at the right bottom corner of the screen (Wood, Stone, Metal, Gold and Obsidian). You need them to build blocks. In the beginning of the game they will only produce a limited amount of resources over the time. In future you will be able to update these producers so that they produce more resources. Than you can build more and better defences and so on... .If the stone of one producer falls from the block then all upgrades will be lost.

In single-player you will have to defend the crown from different things or you will have to complete different challenges (like build a 330ft/100m high tower).

In the inventor mode you can invent and test new machines or buildings. You will also be able to save them and place them in a multi-player or single-player game. So the better your inventions, that better are your chances to win that game.

So that's pretty much all there is to say about the game now. I hope you like it, if you have any questions, feedback or ideas how to improve the game feel free to write a comment below :)
